Whore

I licked her with thousands of my tongues. She was looking at me laughing in pity, at my efforts to allure her to stay with me for some more time.

She was the reason of my existance, upon closer examination, I found out that she actually was my existance. Now I had very less time, I licked her vigorously for one day she will be gone abruptly, some day soon. I wanted to have to most of her before she could go. I continued on my efforts, inventing new tongues, exploring newer parts of her naked body.

The whore was my life, my lust for her kept on increasing till the day she left. After having her time with me and after my time was over. I begged for her to stay, one year, one night, one hour, a moment, but she wouldn't agree. She went away when my time with her was over.

Jim once said, O' great creator of being, grant us one more hour to perform our art and perfect our lives. Pray to the creator for one extra moment, or pay the whore for one more orgasm it all converged to the same. It was lust, lust for her, my existance, my life, a whore.

Could I had lived a more pious life treating her as a woman rather than a chunk of flesh covered with skin?

Define pious

Karthik Shekhar said...

pious means god-fearing ...but it can also be used to imply devotion to anything...either way it seems the author was pious to the whore...so slightly incorrect usage, but who cares about that anyway!

devotional kind...

Not pious to the whore, wasn't pious so life became whore!

Well, forget the usage. But it seems like you're using "woman vs. whore" and "pious vs. not pious" in a very relative, almost esoteric way. So say you have a polygamous relationship, get stoned at every opportunity etc., would you consider that pious or not? Is that treating life like a woman or like a whore? Who gets to define?

Pious is used in the following manner: god-fearing, devotional, and thus sticking to virtues and morals.

I get that, but who defines virtues and morals? Most of the TV-watching world has its own version loosely rooted in Christianity, Hinduism has its own moral code (though I repeatedly fail to see what it is), and Kohlberg would say you've reached the highest level of moral development when you define and live by your own set of morals. So I'm still confused as to what you're calling pious. I guess my point is that the whore-life you think you're living could itself be called pious, no?

When I say values, they are social values. christianity, hinduism might have different values but they are not decided by the individual. A pious life thus is the pious life as concieved by the society.

And if you have so much problem with the word pious, let me change it to something else.

And, you can as well reveal the identity.

Yes I can, of course. But I choose not to... hope that's not a problem.

I don't have a problem with the word - just trying to hammer out your point a little.

To get back at it, indulgence and piety are not mutually exclusive, are they? Unless of course in your indulgence you have violated some moral code... but then a violation is a violation, whether it comes with respect for the underlying values or without. Socially, guilt for your indulgence would perhaps make you more "pious" than otherwise. I'm not sure that's worth the trouble.
